The 25th Rues principales Foundation Conference will be held under the theme: “Municipal tourism: Conjugating boldness and creativity”. The day will be an exceptional opportunity to discover interesting initiatives that have been taken in local tourism and to learn how local tourism can contribute to the social, cultural and economic development of municipalities of all sizes, in ways that are in line with a sustainable development approach.
Whether its built heritage, unique landscapes, specific manufacturing and commercial enterprises, local know-how and traditions or distinct cultural features, each municipality has an identity that sets it apart from the others. Throughout the course of the day, various stakeholders from the municipal, tourism and economic sectors, in Québec and elsewhere, will be presenting their rewarding local tourism experiences.
